Details

A deeply calming, five-ingredient tallow balm built around Hudson Valley lavender essential oil — grown and harvested locally, just down the road from where every My Neighbor's product is made. Lavender on the Hudson is the balm for morning rituals, for winding down, for skin that is irritated, overworked, or simply in need of something gentle and restorative. Grass-fed Hudson Valley tallow forms the deeply nourishing base, rosehip oil from Chile adds regenerative vitamin A and C support, jojoba delivers lightweight lasting hydration, and sunflower-derived Vitamin E rounds the formula with antioxidant protection. The lavender essential oil — not a fragrance oil, not an extract, but a pure Hudson Valley Lavandula angustifolia — ties everything together with a clean, subtle, genuinely calming scent and its own proven anti-inflammatory and skin-healing properties. No synthetics, no fillers, nothing that doesn't come from the earth. Suitable for all skin types including sensitive. Available in 2oz and 4oz.

How To Use

Warm a small amount between the fingertips and press gently into clean skin on the face, neck, and body as a daily moisturiser. Use morning and evening, or apply exclusively at night as part of a calming wind-down ritual. Can be used on the face, body, hands, and any areas of dryness or irritation. For extra nourishment, apply to slightly damp skin immediately after cleansing to lock in moisture. Pairs naturally with the Lavender Tallow Soap and Manuka Honey & Lavender Hand Balm for a complete lavender ritual.

Key Ingredients

  • Grass-Fed & Finished Beef Tallow (Sebum Bovinum) — Hudson Valley, NY — The ancestral foundation of the balm. Dry-rendered from regenerative Hudson Valley farms and biologically compatible with the skin's own sebum, it is rich in fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K and essential fatty acids that deeply hydrate, restore barrier integrity, and nourish without clogging pores. Especially beneficial for dry, sensitive, and mature skin types that need genuine repair rather than surface conditioning.
  • Lavender Essential Oil (Lavandula Angustifolia) — Hudson Valley, NY — Grown and harvested locally in the Hudson Valley, making this one of the most regionally rooted ingredients in the entire My Neighbor's collection. Pure Lavandula angustifolia — not a fragrance oil or synthetic lavender alternative — rich in linalool and linalyl acetate with clinically documented anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and skin cell regeneration-promoting properties. Calms redness, soothes irritated and overworked skin, supports the healing of minor barrier compromise, and delivers a clean, genuinely calming aromatherapy benefit with every application. The scent is subtle and natural — present without being overpowering.
  • Rosehip Oil (Rosa Rubiginosa L) — Chile — A cold-pressed seed oil rich in vitamin A (trans-retinoic acid), vitamin C, and regenerative linoleic and linolenic fatty acids. Supports skin cell renewal, brightens uneven tone, helps reduce the visible appearance of fine lines and scarring, and amplifies the balm's overall repair and regeneration benefits alongside the tallow.
  • Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis) — Israel — USDA organic, cold-pressed, and unrefined. A liquid wax biologically similar to the skin's own sebum, delivering lightweight, non-comedogenic hydration that balances oil production without heaviness. Hypoallergenic, naturally antiseptic, and suitable for all skin types — it ensures the formula absorbs comfortably and leaves no greasy residue.
  • Vitamin E — Sunflower Derived (Helianthus Annuus) — Hudson Valley, NY — A fat-soluble antioxidant that protects skin cells and the formula's botanical ingredients from oxidative damage, supports the healing of dry and environmentally compromised skin, and extends the natural potency and stability of the balm from first use to last.
