Firsthand was born from a personal search for better hair care—creating products that deliver exceptional performance while working in harmony with the body and the planet. Founded in 2016 by Filipe Inacio and Josh Hester, the brand began with a mission to develop effective, naturally derived formulas after struggling to find styling products that combined clean ingredients with professional-level results.
Today, Firsthand creates carefully curated hair and body care essentials formulated in-house with thoughtfully selected ingredients and produced in their own manufacturing facility. Rooted in transparency, sustainability, and quality, each product is designed to elevate everyday routines through formulas that are effective, intentional, and inspired by nature.
Firsthand Supply was founded in 2016 by Filipe Inacio and Josh Hester after Filipe struggled to find a hair styling product that delivered professional-level performance without irritating his scalp. After experimenting with cleaner ingredients and developing more than 50 iterations of a formula, Filipe created the brand’s first styling product—a high-performing pomade made with thoughtfully sourced ingredients. Together, Filipe and Josh built Firsthand around the belief that clean formulas and exceptional performance should never be mutually exclusive.
