Details
Not your usual vanilla. Killr Vanillr is an oriental vanilla built for 3am — the best hour in any great nightclub, when the music is loudest, the conversations are most honest, and all you need is to be completely, irresistibly delicious. The opening is a creamy collision of vanilla, white chocolate, and buttery orris, familiar and comforting for exactly one moment before the composition takes a darker turn. Liquorice and the deep, resinous sweetness of labdanum pull it somewhere smokier and more animalic, while patchouli and vetiver add an earthy, slightly dirty edge that keeps it from ever reading as simply sweet. Native Australian sandalwood brings the dry-down home — warm, woody, and skin-close, with a sillage that lingers for 6–8 hours. A classic vanilla slice with a mirrorball facet. The bottle is printed with glow-in-the-dark ink, because of course it is. Gender-transcendent. Handmade in Australia.
How To Use
Apply 2–3 sprays to warm pulse points — wrists, neck, inner elbows, or behind the ears. Killr Vanillr has significant projection and builds on warm skin: the creamy, chocolatey opening gives way to the darker liquorice and labdanum heart within 10–15 minutes, deepening further into the patchouli and sandalwood base over the following hours. Best worn at night, but confident enough for any hour.
Key Ingredients
- Vanilla — The anchor of the entire composition, but not as you know it. Rich, warm, and deeply sensual, it underpins every other note without ever dominating — more the feeling of vanilla than the scent of a vanilla pod, giving the fragrance its irresistible, skin-like warmth.
- White Chocolate — A creamy, milky-sweet accord that amplifies the vanilla in the opening, adding a confection-like softness and lushness that makes the first spray genuinely mouth-watering.
- Orris (Iris Root) — A buttery, slightly powdery iris-root note that smooths the transition between the sweet opening and the darker heart notes, adding a soft floral creaminess and classical elegance.
- Liquorice — The dark surprise at the heart of the fragrance. A sharp, anise-inflected note that cuts through the sweetness of the vanilla and white chocolate, pulling the composition into more complex, androgynous territory and giving Killr Vanillr its distinctly savoury-sweet tension.
- Labdanum — A rich, dark, resinous absolute with a deep amber-like sweetness and a subtle animalic quality. One of perfumery's most ancient and luxurious ingredients, it adds the smoky, mysterious depth that transforms this from a vanilla fragrance into an oriental.
- Patchouli — An earthy, slightly dirty base note that grounds the sweetness of the composition in something decidedly more grown-up, adding warmth, longevity, and a subtle shadow that prevents the fragrance from ever tipping into saccharine territory.
- Vetiver — A smoky, rooted, and distinctly earthy note that adds further complexity and backbone to the dry-down, extending the fragrance's presence on skin and deepening its character over time.
- Australian Native Sandalwood — A milky, warm, softly woody native botanical that anchors the base in something quietly luxurious and distinctly Australian, giving the dry-down its smooth, skin-close finish.
